Fears and Phobias can affect both Adults and Children. Phobias are intense irrational fears of a particular situation, object or activity
Hypnotherapy can be a useful tool in the treatment of fears and phobias.
Hypnotherapy can be used to help people overcome their fears by accessing the subconscious mind and helping them to change their thought patterns and responses to specific triggers.
During a hypnotherapy session, I will induce a state of deep relaxation. While in this state, you are more open to suggestion and can access your subconscious mind more easily.
I will use a variety of techniques to help you overcome your fear, such as visualisation, EDMR, EFT and desensitisation.
Visualisation involves creating a mental image of the feared object or situation and gradually changing your perception of it. For example, if someone has a fear of flying, I may guide the client through a visualisation exercise in which they imagine themselves feeling calm and relaxed on an aeroplane. This can help the client to associate positive feelings with the feared situation.
Desensitisation involves exposing you to the feared situation in a controlled and gradual manner through visualisation. For example, if someone has a fear of spiders, I may guide the client through a visualisation where we detach the emotion that is connected to the fear. Hypnotherapy can be an effective tool in the treatment of fears and phobias.
